- Church History for Evangelicals
Follow the evangelical line through the whole story of the church, from the martyrs to the world church of today, and find your own place in it.
Following Church History for Evangelicals, this course reads the story in three parts. First come the early church and the Middle Ages: persecution, the church fathers and the creeds, Constantine, the monks and the medieval scholars. Then come the Reformations and the movements that gave evangelicals their shape, from Luther and the Anabaptists to the Pietists and the Evangelical Awakening. Last come mission and the world church, and the great shift of Christianity to the Global South.
