- 3 credits
Every church, school and clinic keeps data: registers, offerings, marks and visits. Learn to collect, clean, show and report data well, and to keep people's trust.
This course follows the OpenStax textbook Principles of Data Science. It moves from the data science cycle and collecting data with consent, through cleaning, summarising and picturing data, to models, machine learning, fairness and honest reports. You need no programming. It has no Christian textbook of its own: you bring the Christian view from your earlier studies, such as people made in God's image, truthfulness, love that keeps confidences and justice without partiality.
