- From Every Nation: A Christian Guide to World History, 1400 to Today
Since about 1400, ships, trade, empire and the gospel have joined the world together. Learn the modern story that shaped the people you serve, and read it as a Christian.
Following From Every Nation, with the OpenStax world history beside it, this course runs from the Mughals, the Ottomans and the Reformation to the slave trade and its end, the age of empire, the world wars, the Cold War and the church of today. In these centuries the centre of the Christian world moved to Africa, Asia and Latin America. You learn to state a historian's account fairly, weigh it from Christian teaching and tell your church's story truthfully. Some of this history is painful; if it touches your own life, speak with a pastor or a trained counsellor.
