GE-441 Introduction to Business
- Year
- Year 4 (BA)
- Discipline
- General Education
- Credits
- 3 credits
Churches, schools, clinics and small shops all buy, sell, borrow, pay workers and keep accounts. Learn the basics of business and use them in your own ministry.
This course follows the OpenStax textbook Introduction to Business. It moves from business, the economy and world trade, through ethics, social responsibility and forms of ownership, to accounts, finance and the basics of marketing. It has no Christian core textbook: you bring the Christian view from your earlier studies, such as work as a calling, stewardship, honesty in accounts and justice for workers and the poor. The WWES textbook Tents and Talents gives a Christian reading of some of the same topics.
